CODE CRAYON Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Germany’s Hinterhof Film

Jul 10, 2026

CODE CRAYON, a content startup and resident company of the CKL Business Support Center operated by the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA, President Yoonji Kim), announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Hinterhof Film & TV Productions GmbH, a German film and television production company, during the B2B export consultation event at K-EXPO France Paris.

Through this partnership, CODE CRAYON plans to strengthen its foundation for expansion into the European market by collaborating with Hinterhof Film, a Germany-based company specializing in the planning, production, and business development of film and television content.

As part of the MOU, the two companies will jointly discuss the planning, launch, and operational strategy for a short-form drama platform targeting the European market. They intend to develop a service model tailored to European users by reflecting regional content consumption trends and market characteristics. The partnership will also focus on securing localized content, expanding content distribution, developing marketing initiatives, and identifying new business opportunities in Europe.

CODE CRAYON operates the global short-form drama platform Shortime and provides Shortime Studio, its proprietary OTT and streaming platform solution that enables content businesses to build and operate their own streaming services. This collaboration is particularly significant because it combines CODE CRAYON’s platform operation expertise with Hinterhof Film’s extensive content network across Europe.

A representative from CODE CRAYON said, “This MOU marks the first step toward realizing the potential of the short-form drama platform business in the European market. By working closely with our local partner, we aim to deliver services that reflect the preferences and viewing habits of European audiences while creating a business model where both K-content and global short-form content can grow together.”

Meanwhile, the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) supports the growth of content startups such as CODE CRAYON through its CKL Business Support Center by providing business incubation programs and production support facilities.
