CODE CRAYON, a content startup based at the Korea Creative Content Agency’s CKL Enterprise Support Center, announced that it will officially launch its SaaS-based service “Shortime Studio” this month. Built on the operational experience of its global short-form platform “Shortime,” the service enables anyone to easily create and operate their own video streaming app.
Shortime Studio is an all-in-one service that allows anyone with content to build their own app and distribute it to the global market. From content uploads and app distribution to user management, the entire process is supported in a one-stop system, making it possible to quickly launch services without any development resources.
The platform also comes with multilingual translation and subtitle features, making it optimized for overseas expansion into markets such as Japan, Southeast Asia, and North America. In addition, it offers various monetization models—including subscriptions, content ownership, and ad-based revenue—so that studios and distributors can operate in line with their own strategies. Importantly, it leverages the globally proven streaming infrastructure and operational know-how of Shortime, ensuring both stable service operations and global scalability. Looking ahead, CODE CRAYON plans to sequentially roll out expansion features such as AI-based automatic translation, recommendation systems, and global marketplace integration.
Shortime Studio is a service that can be widely used not only by drama and variety show IP holders, MCNs, and individual creators, but also by global content providers (CPs). By quickly building their own streaming apps, they can directly target overseas audiences, secure global fandoms, and generate revenue at the same time—strengthening their competitiveness.
CODE CRAYON representative stated, “Shortime Studio will open a new path for anyone with content to take on the global market. Through strategic partnerships with overseas content partners, we plan to secure a diverse range of global content and expand our service scope to provide richer experiences to users worldwide.”
Meanwhile, the Korea Creative Content Agency actively supports the growth of content startups like CODE CRAYON by providing up to two years of residency and production infrastructure support through its CKL Enterprise Support Center.
