Mar 17, 2025

The Korea Creative Content Agency's CKL Business Support Center tenant company 'CODE CRAYON' is rapidly growing in the global market with its short-form content platform 'Shortime', leading a new trend in content consumption. Shortime offers various short-form content consisting of videos of about 60 seconds, including dramas and entertainment, showcasing the charm of Korean-style short-form content to global audiences in Japan, Southeast Asia, and the Americas.

In particular, it has incorporated gamification elements such as watching ads and check-ins to allow users to enjoy content for free. The quick developments and engaging content provide high satisfaction to users, and various consumption models, including monthly subscriptions and content ownership features, are also offered.

Shortime was selected as a participant in the 'International Broadcasting Video Market (BCWW)' in August 2024, marking the beginning of its global business expansion. BCWW is the largest broadcasting and video content market in Asia, where content producers and investors from around the world participate. Through this, Shortime presents new possibilities for short-form content and has laid the groundwork for expanding its global content production and distribution network.

Additionally, in September, it laid the foundation for continuous platform development by being selected for Danal's Open Innovation and the Gyeonggi Content Agency’s support project, confirming its technical capabilities and content production capacity.

In October 2024, Shortime announced its full-scale entry into the Japanese market by signing a content supply contract with Japan's leading platform 'Line'. This is expected to bring Shortime's popular short-form dramas and entertainment content closer to Japanese users.

Subsequently, in November, it was officially recognized for content innovation and technical capabilities by being selected for the 'Startup Growth Technology Development Project (TIPS)'. Based on this, it plans to enhance technological sophistication, including AI-based content recommendations and user-customized content consumption environments.

CODE CRAYON is led by CEO Park Jee-bok, who has extensive experience in the content and media industry. After serving as CFO at WYSIWYG Studios, Mr. Park has successfully led two corporate listings while working as CEO at the drama production company 'Raemongraein' (now Artist Studio), which produced 'Reborn Rich' and 'Semantic Error', and at the digital media content production and marketing solutions company NP.

Mr. Park stated, "Shortime will provide short-form content that resonates with users worldwide through localized storytelling and will grow as a differentiated platform in the global market, including Japan," revealing future plans.

Meanwhile, the Korea Creative Content Agency provides up to two years of residency support and production support facilities for the growth of content startups like 'CODE CRAYON' through the CKL Business Support Center.
