Recently, the short-form drama market has been rapidly growing worldwide. Short-form dramas can convey core messages and stories in a short period, making them highly popular among busy modern individuals, and they are quickly expanding as a genre of content.

In this regard, various short-form platforms have emerged in the global market and are competing with each other. In particular, Chinese platforms such as Reelshort and Dramabox are showcasing various original content and creative marketing strategies centered around China and the United States, capturing the attention of audiences worldwide.

In line with this global trend, domestic short-form drama platforms are also emerging, attracting attention. Notably, CODE CRAYON launched 'Shortime' on the 4th, and Spoonlabs operates 'Vigloo,' while Watcha recently started a short-form drama service called 'Shortcha.'

CODE CRAYON is a content company led by former LemonRain CEO Park Jeebok, presenting original content such as dramas and entertainment consisting of episodes lasting around 60 seconds through 'Shortime,' which is provided to global users. In particular, short-form dramas featuring idols and rising actors, such as 'Running Mate' and 'My Man's Smartphone,' are receiving significant interest from domestic and international fans.

Spoonlabs' 'Vigloo,' launched in July, is also garnering attention with news of large-scale investment acquisition. Spoonlabs, known for Spoon Radio, is highly regarded for its global business capabilities. Particularly, it is expected to provide the most content among domestic platforms through 'Vigloo,' raising high expectations.

In this way, short-form dramas are standing out as a new cultural trend and a core trend in media consumption. As expectations for domestic short-form drama platforms are growing, it is anticipated that domestic platforms will continue to present innovative content, capturing the hearts of global viewers.
